Walmart Inc. today proudly unveiled the new “Signature Experience” of its Novi store, located at 26090 Ingersol Drive. The Supercenter went through a series of impressive transformations to provide customers with an enhanced shopping experience, including upgraded departments, activations for customers to touch and feel products, digital touchpoints throughout the store, and more.
Walmart Inc., the nation’s largest retailer, proudly unveiled its transformation of its Novi store into Walmart’s Signature Experience today. The Supercenter at 26090 Ingersol Drive was marked with a ribbon cutting ceremony, a community celebration, and an unveiling of a community inspired mural by local artist Desiree Kelly, all aimed to inspire customers and elevate their in-store experience. With over 250 stores across Michigan, Walmart continues to invest in the state by providing jobs and improved shopping experiences. Upgrades at the Novi Walmart Supercenter include:
Activated corners with displays to help customers touch, feel, and become a part of the space; elevated departments that feature products out of their boxes for customers to imagine how they fit into their daily lives; more space to explore and discover what Walmart has to offer; and digital touchpoints throughout the store to communicate products and services available online via QR codes and digital screens.
Under the leadership of Store Manager Antonio Rodriguez, Walmart recently underwent a series of impressive transformations. Customers can now take advantage of 35 new registers (10 assisted, 21 Self Checkouts, and four Walmart+ Self Checkouts), two Grab and Go’s at entrances, an updated Vision Center with new shelf roller system, fixtures, apparel, and display mannequins; expanded Online Pick Up/Delivery Services, a New Dollar Shop area that changes with the seasons, as well as various vignettes featuring Home Lines, Hardware, and Infants Life Size Displays. Additionally, new signage has been added for easier store navigation, fresh paint on the inside of the store and new fixtures throughout, updated electronics department, pharmacy, infant area, fresh baby food area, modernized restrooms, a Mother’s Room for a private option for nursing mothers, and digital screens for customers convenience in customer service and deli departments. All of these enhancements further demonstrate Walmart’s commitment to providing an unparalleled shopping experience for their customers.
Not only has Walmart improved the look and feel of their store, but they have also given back to the Novi community by awarding $3,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations. Store Manager Antonio Rodriguez presented grants of $1,000 each to Novi Sports Boosters, Wreaths Across America, and Common Ground of Oakland County. With these impressive improvements and generous donations, Walmart is proud to have served the residents and families of Novi for the last decade and will continue to do so with dedication and enthusiasm.
Unveiling of Novi Walmart’s New Mural
Novi Walmart is proud to unveil the store’s new mural, designed and illustrated by esteemed local artist Desiree Kelly. This stunning artwork celebrates the diversity and unique cultures of Novi as part of Walmart’s Community Mural Program—the largest public-facing art installation that honors communities across America. At the unveiling ceremony, representatives from the Novi Chamber of Commerce were present, as was former Detroit Tigers Catcher Lance Parrish from the 1984 World Series team, and several brand mascots.
