Novi, MI Community

Novi is preparing for a significant event to demonstrate profound respect for the individuals who have served our nation. This year’s Veterans Day observance is planned as a sincere occasion, uniting residents to acknowledge our local service members. It provides a valuable moment for everyone to stop and convey appreciation for their commitment and sacrifices. Let’s be sure to note the date and participate in this significant acknowledgment.

The City of Novi is organizing its yearly Veterans Day observance, a central part of our community’s schedule. This year, the activities will occur on Thursday, November 6, 2025, beginning at 11:30 am at the Novi Civic Center. The main purpose of this assembly is to present a genuine show of respect and acknowledgment for all our veterans. It’s an opportunity for Novi to offer a shared expression of thanks that genuinely connects with those who have served.

To enhance the day, a satisfying lunch will be served, courtesy of Mission BBQ, ensuring our veterans receive a substantial meal. Contributing to the mood will be engaging musical presentations by the skilled Geff Phillips and Friends Band, establishing a welcoming and festive atmosphere. While entry is without charge for all veterans, their companions will be requested to pay a small charge of $12 for residents and $14 for non-residents. It is important to remember that booking is required for all, and registration will end on November 4th, or earlier if the event reaches its limit.

Alongside the primary gathering, Novi is promoting youth engagement through a dedicated Veterans Day essay competition. This program aims to motivate high school students to consider the importance of military service and convey their esteem and admiration for veterans. It offers a great method for students to connect with the past and the people who have influenced our country.

This essay competition is open only to high school students living in, employed in, or attending school within Novi. Participants can select from three separate and significant topics, enabling them to shape their essays to communicate their individual viewpoints and sincere appreciation for our veterans. Additional information concerning submission instructions and the specific topics is available through the “Call for Submissions” link, simplifying participation for interested students.
