Volunteering at Soldiers’ Angels Veteran Mobile Food Distribution
Volunteers have the chance to make a difference in their community by helping at Soldiers’ Angels Veteran Mobile Food Distribution events. At these events, volunteers will assist with packing grocery bags and loading them into veterans’ cars or carts. This volunteer opportunity is an excellent way to show support for low-income and homeless veterans in Detroit, Michigan. All safety precautions are in place, and all necessary dress requirements must be followed. Through this event, Veterans will receive approximately 75 lbs. of groceries each month at no cost. Registration must be completed ahead of time and proof of veteran status must be provided. Text and email notifications are available to receive updates on future food distributions.

Food Assistance for Detroit Veterans
Soldiers’ Angels is proud to offer Detroit veterans in-need a no-cost way of receiving food assistance. Every month, hundreds of volunteers come together to pack bags of groceries and provide support to over 200 veterans and their families by loading the bags into cars, pushcarts, or backpacks. Soldiers’ Angels are offering an opportunity for volunteers to give back to the Detroit veteran community. Every month, a drive-through Veteran Mobile Food Distribution will deliver food assistance to low-income and homeless veterans in one of the most economically-challenged cities in the US. Volunteers will help pack bags with groceries and load them into the vehicles or carts of attending veterans. This is a rewarding volunteer opportunity where you will be satisfied knowing that you are helping to provide food for those who served our country and now face financial struggles.
To participate, please dress appropriately for weather conditions since this event is held outdoors regardless of the temperature or weather. Soldiers’ Angels have COVID-19 safety precautions to keep everyone safe.
